Update

It feels like ages since I’ve posted an update, after doing putting paintings up here daily last month. But wow, it’s only been a couple of days?? This has been a long week!

I’ve been pretty busy with putting the yokai prints up on Etsy, ordering supplies and putting them all together, but I’ve had a tremendous response both for prints and for the originals. So thank you to everyone for your support! It’s great to hear from so many fans.

I’ve also been busy with translating my site into Japanese (with my lovely wife’s help of course) in order to promote my upcoming exhibition here. You’ll see the Japanese link on the sidebar menu now. And I’m nearly finished another painting; another digital ukiyoe portrait like the one I posted earlier this week, and I hope to do a few more before I return to the US for Thanksgiving week. And just another reminder that I’m taking commissions for digital ukiyoe portraits as well, so if you’ve always wanted a portrait in Japanese woodblock print style, now’s your chance!

Anyway, I should be able to post the new painting this Sunday, so stay tuned! (Does “stay tuned” apply to the internet? What does one say in its place?)

  1. Any chance you’ll be in Cincinnati area for thanksgiving? Would love to meet you, though you’ll probably be catching up with a lot of family and friends. Best wishes!

  2. I’ll be on the Jersey side of Philly, so Cincinnati is a bit out of the way. Sorry. :-

“Click back soon…” I like that. Thanks. :-) I’ll have to remember that for next time!
